The Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority (CICA) was set up by the government to pay compensation to victims of violent crime.   The CICA do not pay for the costs of a lawyer and you don’t need to use one to make a claim for a criminal injury.  You can contact them on www.cica.gov.uk.

Time limits
