Woman who suffered back injury seeks compensation
A woman who has suffered a number of problems, including a back injury, is seeking compensation.
Karin Imber experienced a slip outside her house in 2006 on an area of green algae that was caused by flooding resulting from a water leak.
She sustained ruptures to three of her discs, as well as damage to her arm.
Subsequently, the 52-year-old has endured a series of infections allegedly caused by sewage leeks under her property.
Mr Imber described her experiences as "horrendous".
She is taking legal action against Thames Water, which she claims did not do enough in response to her complaints.
The firm - which describes itself as the UK's largest water and wastewater company and provides services to around 8.5 million people across London and the Thames Valley - declined to comment on the case for legal reasons.
Ms Imber's arguments are due to be heard at the High Court.
