Woman seeks compensation over road accident

news image A woman who suffered injuries in a road accident is seeking compensation.

In September 2006, Theresa Vimmerslev was in her car when she was struck by a van being driven by Benjamin Edwards.

She sustained a range of damage due to the impact, including a fracture to her left leg and right arm.

As a result of the incident, she had to take some time off work and is still using crutches to get around.

Ms Vimmerslev, who works as a media analyst, was in the village of Fulmer, Buckinghamshire - located in the south-east of England - when the crash occurred.

She is in pursuit of money from Mr Edwards' insurers and the case recently began in the High Court in London.

Judge Martin McKenna adjourned the proceedings so new evidence could be considered. He said he did this "reluctantly".

No date has yet been established for the case to return to trial.
