Several people injured during road traffic accident in Yorkshire

news image Around 20 people have been injured during a road traffic accident between two coaches and a car in North Yorkshire.

The incident occurred over the weekend (August 14th) as the pair of coaches - which contained approximately 100 people - travelled from Newcastle to the Flamingo Land theme park, which is situated in Malton.

According to the Yorkshire Ambulance Service, many of those people hurt in the incident are suffering from back and neck injuries after one of the coaches reportedly crashed into the rear of the car before being ploughed into from behind by the second bus.

Some adults and children - two of each - were taken to Scarborough General Hospital and the Friarage Hospital in Northallerton for treatment, with a spokeswoman for the attending medical professionals stating there were a "number of walking wounded" at the scene.

People injured during this incident may now decide to seek personal injury compensation for their ordeal.
