Road traffic accident victim seeks compensation
A woman who was the victim of a road traffic accident is seeking compensation for her suffering.
Janet Lott was using a bus service in her home town of Coventry when she became trapped in the doors of a bendy bus as she tried to alight the vehicle.
They shut suddenly on her when she was half way out of them and the driver did not realise.
The bus set off and travelled 90ft, dragging her down the road. Eventually, it stopped and the grandmother was left alone on a grass verge.
She sustained bruising to her knee, elbow, arm and leg and claims to need the help of stick to get around.
Ms Lott is suing National Express over the incident.
The firm, which is part of a group providing transport services in the UK, the US and Spain, has apologised and said a full investigation is being launched.
