Recently, a bus carrying more than 80 passengers crashed on the M77 in Ayrshire, which is located to the west of Glasgow near the Scottish coast.

The driver and two other individuals were taken to hospital, along with a 44-year-old man who was in a serious condition.

Reports suggest that the Stagecoach service struck another vehicle.

All those affected were transported to Crosshouse Hospital in Kilmarnock.

A spokesman for Stagecoach said: "The driver of the X77 service, which was carrying around 85 passengers, suffered a head injury. A number of passengers have also been injured."

He added that the company's thoughts are with those who have suffered damage as a result of the incident, which occurred in the middle of the afternoon.

The representative went on to note that a police investigation is underway and the firm is assisting in any way it can.
