Motorcyclist to seek compensation after road traffic accident
A motorcyclist who suffered several broken bones during a road traffic accident in which he fell from his vehicle is to seek personal injury compensation from Cumbria County Council.
According to the North West Evening Mail, Paul Quayle is planning to gain damages from the authority after the pothole-related accident - which took place last Saturday morning (September 29th) - left him with cracked ribs and a suspected broken collarbone.
"I'm just waiting to see if I need surgery. I don't know when I will be out of hospital," he said.
Mr Quayle, who is being treated at Furness General Hospital, explained that he hit the pothole as he rounded a corner in Barrow - a town situated on the Furness peninsula - and stated that other bikers should be aware of the potential risks they face on the local roads.
"I was lucky that my injuries weren't any worse, but someone else might not be as lucky," he added.
