Man sues after suffering injuries in accident at work
A man who sustained injuries in an accident at work is seeking compensation.
Carl Woodbridge was performing his role for his ex-bosses Ambius when the incident occurred.
The 22-year-old was pruning a giant cactus in a shopping centre when liquid sap squirted into his eye, face, neck and arm.
As a result of this, he experienced temporary blindness.
Speaking to the Hertfordshire Mercury, he said: "I had this really bad burning pain which was getting worse. I poured a bottle of water over my face and put it under a tap but it didn't do anything."
He was treated for the damage at Milton Keynes Hospital, which has around 500 inpatient beds.
After a couple of weeks, he was able to take his eye patch off but he could only make out rough shapes and colours.
While his site is much better now, he still has difficulty with bright lights.
