Man sues after suffering eye injuries
A man is taking legal action in a bid to secure compensation after he allegedly suffered damage to his eye while at work.
Derek Kenney claims he got dough in his eye while performing his role at Kindness Bakers, which is located in Aberdeenshire and supplies a range of bread and cakes to the north-east of Scotland.
He has lodged papers at the Court of Session in Edinburgh as part of a civil case.
According to the former employee, he was cleaning a machine when the incident occurred and the vision in one of his eyes has been affected.
A spokesman for the Scottish Courts Service confirmed a date has been set for a proof hearing next year.
When contacted about the case, Mark Kindness said he was unable to comment.
However, the business owner said the incident had been properly logged and all the necessary steps had been taken.
