Man seeks £5k compensation in personal injury damages over pub incident

news image A man is seeking personal injury compensation over an incident which occurred in a pub in March 2008.

David Arthur Jones, who suffers from multiple sclerosis - a neurological condition that the NHS says affects around 85,000 people in the UK - was drinking in the Cross Foxes pub near Holywell, the Daily Post reports.

He alleges that its failure to provide building and toilet access from July 2006 to March 2008 meant he suffered.

The 55-year-old, who has to use a catheter bag due to his medical problems, was unable to access the facilities and was left soaked in his own urine.

Mr Jones, who is a qualified engineer, claimed that the landlords of the pub had failed to make provisions for people in wheelchairs.

The case remains ongoing and David and Susan Williams, who run the pub - which is part of the Punch Taverns group - deny any wrongdoing.
