Man receives compensation over back injury

news image A man who suffered a back injury, as well as damage to his neck and legs, has been awarded compensation.

The unnamed individual was walking his dog in a park when he was struck by Oliver Galsworthy, who was on roller skates, Dream Dogs reports.

He had admitted the accident but denied liability, saying the man and his pet had moved into his path as he was travelling down the walkway.

However, eyewitnesses noted that he had been out of control and veered across the track into the injured party, knocking him off his feet.

A judge ruled in favour of the victim and awarded him £6,000, which is to be paid in instalments.

The official also recommended that Mr Galsworthy should give up roller-skating.

Anyone injured as a result of someone else's negligence may be entitled to make a personal injury claim. Generally, this must be done within three years of the date of the accident.
