Man may take legal action over accident at work

news image A man from north Wales may take legal action after he was injured in a workplace accident.

The individual, who has not been named, sustained burns to his face and is currently recovering at home, Wrexham and Flintshire publication the Leader reports.

Last Friday (May 21st), the worker was performing his role at Cytec Engineered Materials when the incident occurred.

The process that led to the problem has been suspended while an investigation takes place.

Four fire crews were called to the scene, along with a specialist incident response unit and paramedics.

The 37-year-old victim was taken to Wrexham Maelor Hospital, which is located on Croesnewydd Road.

Commenting on the case, Cyctecs European health and safety manager Dave Humfress said: "An employee received minor injuries, which were temperature burns, as a result of a fire in one of the processors."

He noted that the man is "as well as can be expected under the circumstances".
