Man injured in road accident seeks compensation
A man who sustained injuries to his leg as a result of a road accident is seeking compensation.
Steve Tavinor was unloading scaffolding from a lorry when he was struck by a car that was being driven by Trevor Tyler.
He was rushed to hospital and had to undergo surgery on the limb.
The 36-year-old still uses crutches as a result of the damage he suffered .
Recently, Mr Tyler was convicted of dangerous driving and given a £100 fine, as well as points on his license.
According to Mr Tavinor, his long-term employment prospects could be harmed and he wants money for this, as well as his suffering.
Before becoming a scaffolder, he had spent some time as a professional footballer.
He started out as a trainee at Oxford United before moving to Witney Town, which is based in west Oxfordshire.
