Illness abroad causes Doncaster holidaymakers to sue

news image A number of holidaymakers from Doncaster are taking legal action after suffering illness abroad.

Adrian Price, his partner Michelle Nicholls and their ten-year-old son Cameron Price are among those who involved in the claim for compensation, local paper the Star reports.

They allege they became sick while staying at the Holiday Village Red Sea in Sharm el Sheikh, which is located on the Sinai Peninsula in Egypt - an area popular among tourists and famed for its coastline.

According to the family, they suffered gastro-intestinal sickness that caused them to experience vomiting and diarrhoea.

They blame their suffering on food and drink supplied at the hotel and accuse holiday firm First Choice of negligence in failing to ensure reasonable care was used in the preparation of food and drink.

A spokesman for the firm said: "As the matter in question is currently subject to a legal
process, it would be inappropriate of us to comment any further at this time so as not to prejudice future court proceedings."
