Girl takes legal action after falling from bus window
A girl who tumbled from the window of a bus has revealed she is taking legal action.
The 12-year-old, along with another youngster, fell through the window of the single-decker vehicle after it gave way, the Hull Daily Mail reports.
She had climbed on to the luggage rack at the front of the bus and was positioned against the glass pane when the incident happened.
The girl has instructed a personal injury lawyer to proceed with a damages claim.
According to her legal team, she suffered soft tissue damage due to the impact of the fall and has experienced anxiety.
She was treated at Hull Royal Infirmary - which is run by Hull and East Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust - for her injuries.
Bus company Ellie Rose Travel owner Jim Houghton stated: "The parents of the other girl who fell out said they didn't want to take the matter any further."
