Father sues after pothole causes baby soft tissue injuries
A man is to sue his local authority after his baby suffered soft tissue injuries in a fall.
Darren Rowbotham wants compensation for the accident, which took place in Exwick, Exeter, the Express & Echo reports.
The 29-year-old was pushing his son Taylor in a three-wheeled buggy when the pushchair hit an uneven part of the ground.
He said: "I didn't see the pothole as the buggy was in front of me. The front wheel went straight into the pothole which flipped the pram over,"
Mr Rowbotham, who also suffered injuries, went over the device and into the road.
Taylor sustained lacerations to his chin and knee, he added, noting that the incident could have been much worse if the 13-month-old had fallen out of the buggy.
He has complained to Devon County Council - which is headquartered in County Hall, Devon - and plans to take legal action against the organisation.
