Family seek compensation over severe illness abroad
A family is seeking compensation after suffering severe illness abroad.
The Perkins were on a break to the luxury Park Inn Hotel in the popular tourist spot of Sharm el Sheikh in Egypt, the Sunday Mercury reports.
They were staying at the location - which is on the Sinai Peninsula and is famed for its coastline - when Theresa and her daughter Charlotte become seriously ill.
Struck down by vomiting and diarrhoea, they both had to be hospitalised.
According to the family, the hotel did not appear clean and there were flies on the food.
In addition, one-year-old Hannah fell out of the bottom of her hotel-provided cot when a shelf collapsed.
Commenting on their experiences, father Ian Perkins said: "The holiday was a nightmare and things just kept going wrong. Charlotte was really sick and could barely move."
They are now taking legal action in a bid to secure damages.
