Family of boy who suffered illness abroad seek compensation

news image The family of a boy who suffered sickness while on holiday that has left him in need of a kidney transplant are seeking compensation.

Bodie Elliot was on vacation with his parents Vernon and Emma when he was struck down with E coli, Kent Online reports.

They were staying in a hotel in Sharm el Sheikh, which is located on the southern tip of the Sinai Peninsula in Egypt.

Since returning from the destination, Bodie's condition worsened and he had to be taken to a medical centre.

He is now on dialysis at Great Ormond Street Hospital.

Mr Elliot said: "The last 18 months have been the worst of our lives and we are devastated to be told that Bodie will need another kidney."

He added that he will keep fighting for money for his son and he wants to make people aware of how serious E coli can be.
