Compensation received by victims of slips and trips

news image A number of people have received compensation after being the victims of slips and trips on a street in the north-west of England.

West Derby Road in Liverpool has been the scene of a number of accidents in recent months, the Daily Mail reports.

According to the news source, those affected by injuries caused by the public walkway have received sums ranging in size from £2,000 to £14,225, depending on the nature of the damage they sustained.

The individuals who made claims did so over a range of issues, including twisted ankles, bruised arms and cracked ribs.

People who are injured in a slip, trip or fall may be entitled to make a claim for compensation.

In order to be successful, those suing need to prove their suffering was caused as a result of the negligence of another party.

Also, legal proceedings have to be launched within three years of the date of the accident.
