Boat worker seeks compensation after fall
A man who sustained injuries in a fall while performing his role as a boat worker is seeking compensation.
The 48-year-old was operating as a loomist on a vessel which was under construction when the floor gave way and he tumbled to the floor, Plymouth paper the Herald reports.
In a high court writ, it states that he was replacing connectors on the boat, reaching at full stretch across the left-hand console when the accident occurred.
He is suing Princess Yachts International - which has been in operation for over four decades and specialises in the creation of high-end motor yachts.
Mr White accuses the company of being negligent and in breach of statutory duty.
He claims that he still suffers from pain as a result of the incident.
While Princess Yachts admitted liability, the two sides are unable to agree how much he should receive in damages and the case continues.
