Family seeking damages after holiday fire 2674

A family that was severely burned whilst eating in a resort restaurant in Marmaris, Turkey, are claiming holiday accident compensation for their personal injuries, medical expenses and for rehabilitation costs.

Tony Barr, his wife Kirsty and two daughters Rosie and Jessica all suffered serious burn injuries when they were engulfed in a fireball at La Luna, an eatery in the resort of Marmaris in Turkey; the Lancashire Telegraph reports.

The accident happened when their waiter attempted to flambe the family's fish dinner which resulted in Mr. and Mrs. Barr needing to spend a week in hospital due to severe burn injuries to their heads, chests, necks and arms.

15-year-old Jessica and two-year-old Rosie required regular hospital appointments and Mr. Barr said he feels lucky that they all survived the accident.

"We feared for our lives, it may have been an accident but the waiter was an idiot. Anybody knows you shouldn’t mess with alcohol near fire, especially when kids are around.
