Woman airlifted to hospital after car accident

Camper van crash could lead to compensation claim 2665

An 81-year-old woman had to be cut from her campervan and was airlifted to hospital following a car accident on Derby Road near Millers Bridge in Bootle; the Liverpool Echo reports.

Using cutting equipment, fire crews removed the woman from her Mazda Bongo after a road traffic accident with a Citroen van; she had suffered serious injuries to her shoulder, chest and abdomen.

A North West Ambulance Service representative later revealed the woman's life was not at risk and she was being treated for shock and a damaged arm, while the van driver was checked out at the scene.

Shortly after the car accident occured the road was closed and traffic delays were experienced on the main route from Liverpool to Bootle and Crosby while the cars and accident debris were removed from the scene.ADNFCR-1500-ID-801404463-ADNFCR

The woman is now expected to claim compensation for her injuries as she claims that the accident was not her fault.
