Residents urge council to stop road traffic accidents

Residents in a Gloucestershire village have called on their council to be more proactive in its efforts to prevent crashes in an accident blackspot.

According to The Citizen, locals in Frocester have urged the authorities to implement stronger safety measures in Bath Road after yet another road traffic accident occurred there over the weekend.

This incident resulted in two adults and a number of children being hurt and residents have therefore called on policymakers in the area to take a hands-on approach to stymie the volume of collisions taking place there.

Dave Holpin, chairman of Frocester Parish Council, told the news source: "That road is a notorious accident blackspot for drivers because of the many bends and the road surface. It is just a dangerous road."

Mr Holpin went on to say the highway appears to react strangely in different weather conditions, while there are also still issues with the flatness of the road surface.
