According to the Milgavie & Bearsden Herald, care worker Judy Morgan was injured on Saturday (March 31st) evening when she tripped over the stump of a bollard outside some local shops in Bearsden, East Dunbartonshire.
The news source stated it is thought the plastic item was set on fire by vandals around a year ago and has still not been fixed, meaning the 39-year-old could not see the hazard properly due to the fact it was getting dark.
"As soon as I landed I knew something was up. Now I can't put any weight on it and will be in plaster for probably six weeks," she commented.
Ms Morgan subsequently had to go to the Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment and added the incident could have been worse as she fell "right into the road".
