Eight of ten brothers and sisters in the King family in Hebden Bridge contracted pleural plaques and it has been established this was due to the fact they came into contact with asbestos because it was present on their dad's overalls when they were growing up.
Two of these members have now passed away because of their exposure to the lethal substance, meaning their loved ones may decide to pursue a claim for damages.
During his career as a foreman at Cape Asbestos, their father Korah Leah regularly came into contact with the material as clearing extractor fans blocked with it was part of his duties.
This comes after the widow of Jim Sellwood - who passed away from mesothelioma in 2008 - was awarded damages on his behalf.
