Lisa Fraser, senior staff nurse at Southampton General Hospital, slipped on a wet floor at the establishment and consequently sustained "multiple injuries" to her right leg, the Daily Echo reports.
As a result of this incident, Ms Fraser claims she is now unable to live independently, as well as being unable to return to her duties in the future as she will have to use crutches for the remainder of her life.
The 31-year-old believes her condition is "unlikely" to improve, meaning she is now taking legal action against Southampton University Hospitals NHS Trust as she believes the hospital's negligence is to blame for her injuries.
Recently, the BBC reported that Karen Dalton is seeking compensation for a leg injury sustained during an accident in a public place in Broxtowe.
