According to the Daily Express, an elderly woman suffered life-threatening injuries and is now being treated in hospital after the coach she was travelling on was hit from behind by a 7.5 ton truck on the M11 - which links Cambridgeshire and London - near Stansted Airport.
The female passenger had to be cut free from the vehicle following the collision, while two drivers from separate cars also needed medical attention for whiplash and other neck injuries sustained because of the impact.
Meanwhile, the Essex Echo reported recently that a road traffic accident involving five vehicles on the A127 road in Southend resulted in drivers requiring treatment for whiplash.
Therefore, they too may decide to seek compensation should an investigation rule that the collision was not their fault.
