According to the East Anglian Daily Times, Edward Blowers suffered whiplash - which can affect muscles, ligaments and tendons in the neck, shoulder and back - after colliding with an ambulance last weekend (February 26th 2011) in the Suffolk town of Leiston.
Mr Blowers, who was driving his two young daughters to a party at the time, needed medical attention at the scene of the incident, while a paramedic in the ambulance involved - which was heading to a 999 call - required treatment at Ipswich Hospital.
He told the news source that the crash was "very upsetting" for his daughters and added that although he was told that they did not need to go to hospital, he has since visited a doctor who diagnosed "whiplash injuries and torn ligaments" in the shoulder.
