Woman to claim compensation for scar injury

Head injury leads to compensation claim

Trainee teacher Lisa Kelly sustained permanent scarring during an accident which left her with a head injury that rendered her unconscious.

Ms Kelly slipped and fell while walking across a disused gas repair site and subsequently hit her head on a kerb on Priory Road in Davington, a parish which adjoins Faversham.

As a result of this accident, she needed to stay in hospital for three days and now suffers from "disorientation, memory loss and blurred vision". She is now set to begin legal proceedings against Southern Gas Networks as she claims compensation for her permanent scar injuries.

She labelled the conditions at the site "absolutely atrocious" and added "I am now scarred both physically and psychologically for life and it's turned my life upside down."
