Managers 'must tackle festive stress at work'

Managers must tackle festive stress at work 2333

Managers should be doing everything within their power to combat stress at work at their organisation at Christmas time.

That is the opinion of David Liddle, director and founder of the TCM Group, who has indicated that mental anxiety among members of staff can become more pronounced during December.

Recently, a study conducted by Bupa revealed that females and people under the age of 30 take the most amount of time off on sick leave at this time of year.

And Mr Liddle indicated that absences represent a real problem for firms due to the additional strain it can exert on other workers, meaning it is in the best interests of bosses to take action to tackle employee tension.

"I think the way that companies handle stress during the festive period is very important to the overall wellbeing of individuals and how the team functions over the next year," he noted.
