According to the Yorkshire Evening Post, Susan Stapylton lost a double wisdom tooth filling when she bit into a hard lump of batter that had gathered in an Aunt Bessie's oven chip.
Ms Stapylton subsequently took legal action against the manufacturer's parent company Heinz - a global firm based in Pittsburgh that has some 35,000 members of staff - for her ordeal, which occurred in February this year.
Initially, the 60-year-old was offered a £5 voucher in damages but she rejected this and has now received £2,200 in compensation.
"I couldn't have a drink and [struggled with] breathing and coughing...it was a nightmare," she told the news source.
Ms Stapylton had only had the filling fitted a few days before the incident and also explained that the temporary replacement installed fell out on numerous occasions.
