The Herald Express is reporting that a male of the age of 25 sustained a serious head injury during a crash in the early hours of Wednesday (January 19th 2011) morning in the south Devon village of Bishopsteignton, which is situated between the towns of Teignmouth and Newton Abbot.
Emergency services attended the scene and the man was taken to nearby Torbay Hospital for medical attention as he was found unconscious.
He was later transferred to the Plymouth's Derriford Hospital where he is now in a stable condition, the news source went on to state.
The cause of the incident is as yet unknown, however when this is discovered, the man may be eligible to pursue personal injury damages for his ordeal.
Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle, a 21-year-old woman, was not hurt in the accident.
