How do I make a No Win, No Fee claim?

Will I have to pay any legal fees?

If your claim is successful you receive all your compensation and your legal costs are paid for by the other side.

If you don't win your claim, you usually have to pay your opponent's legal fees, if proceedings have been issued.  However, you can buy insurance to cover these costs. This is called After the Event insurance which you may already have as part of your household or car policy.  As part of the No Win, No Fee agreement your solicitior will not charge you for their services.

Your solicitor will discuss legal fees with you before making your claim. If your solicitor feels your claim is not likely to be successful, they may advise you to withdraw your claim - if you choose to withdraw, you still won't have to pay any fees.
